“Complete visibility instead of blind spots!”
Hamidullah Ameri | Cubro Specialist at NetDescribe

The Challenge
With the introduction of transformative technologies such as 5G, SDN/NFV, SD-WAN, virtualization, and IoT, networks have become more complex than ever. Today, organizations and institutions must be able to gain real-time visibility into all their data and applications to secure and manage the growing demands on network and data traffic, boost productivity, and monitor for security threats and breaches.

Cubro – the Solution from NetDescribe
Cubro offers a comprehensive range of network visibility and monitoring solutions that are efficient, cost-effective, and performance-oriented. With products that deliver complete transparency into all network traffic, Cubro supports and enhances operations in telecommunications, ISPs, data centers, enterprises, and public institutions — whether in virtual or physical environments.
Cubro Portfolio
Cubro products can monitor all data traffic in an organization’s network and duplicate relevant data from any part of the network. The data can be easily and efficiently forwarded to third-party systems for network security, analysis, and monitoring. The entire configuration ensures that there are no “blind spots”.
The tools enable full transparency over the entire network traffic and can perform their various functions correctly and efficiently. They improve the performance of IT services and increase data security. At the same time, their load is minimized to extend their service life. They are able to monitor previously inconsistent and, in terms of speed, incompatible networks and services.
Cubro’s solutions play a key role in the successful results of IT solutions:
- High Performance Networks
- 5G/4G/3G Customer Experience Management and Service Assurance
- Digital transformation
- Data Security
- Virtualized Data Centres
- Software Defined Networking / NFV

Cubro Network TAP (Test Access Point) – Copper / Optical
A network TAP (Test Access Point) is a hardware device that is used at a specific point in the network to monitor data transmission.
Generally, there are two types of TAPs: copper-based (RJ45) or optical
- The Cubro 10/100/1000 Copper TAP enables uninterrupted full-duplex data transmission over standard Category 5/6 copper cables. With automatic negotiation between 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps, this TAP duplicates the network signals, including existing physical errors, to the pure monitoring ports (PoE transparent). The Cubro Copper TAP supports Fast Link Recovery for the fastest possible recovery of a connection after a power failure. This time also refers to the link partners. The Copper TAP also allows the consideration of the physical details in order to change some parameters for a faster recovery.
- Cubro’s optical TAP enables real-time monitoring access to a physical optical data connection without disturbing it. The optical TAPS are equipped with standard LC adapters and are available as single-mode (1310/1550nm) or multi-mode (850/1300nm) versions. Thanks to full transparency, optical TAPs can be used for all protocols or data rates up to 100 Gbit. The optical TAP is completely passive (no power supply required), so there is no risk of installing it in an active connection.
The Cubro Omnia Line
- The Omnia series is a multifunctional network appliance that is perfectly tailored to the requirements of SMEs, branch offices and remote deployment. With built-in, passive tapping, 10G interfaces, integrated memory and a variety of software options, Omnia can map a variety of network and security challenges. By combining a unique hardware feature set with functions from CUBRO’s Packetmaster (L2-L4), Sessionmaster (L5+) and Appmaster (3rd party software), Omnia can take on various roles: Aggregation TAP, TAP, Advanced Network Packet Broker, DPI Probe, Capture Appliance and more.
Thus, Omnia is an affordable, powerful and customizable network appliance with an exclusive design and a highly flexible range of functions.
Cubro Network Packet Broker (NPB)
- The CUBRO Packetmaster series consists of high-performance network packet brokers that aggregate, filter, duplicate, and forward network traffic to security, monitoring, and management tools on a rule-based basis. The Packetmaster supports OSI Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 header modifications including stripping, adding, and changing VLAN tags, MPLS, labels, MAC addresses, IP addresses, and port numbers. It can act as a GRE/VXLAN tunnel endpoint, generate sFLOWS CDRs, and much more.
