The Challenge

With the rise of cloud computing, networks have fundamentally changed. Hybrid networks, a mix of cloud and on-prem technologies or multi-cloud environments are are now common. The availability of your applications and the success of your services still rely strongly on your network. Poor user experience directly impacts customer satisfaction.

No wonder that, as the network or cloud architect, you are often confronted with critical questions such as: “The network is always the issue,” “Why are our cloud costs so high?”, “What does future-proof capacity planning look like?”, “Are we under attack?”
With the solution from Kentik and NetDescribe, you can act proactively and have accurate answers  quickly and effortlessly ready.

NEW! Kentik Kube – The Turbo Boost for Your Kubernetes Performance!

Kentik Kube is an industry-leading solution that provides insights into the network behavior of Kubernetes workloads and visualizes traffic paths between containers across data centers, public clouds, and the internet.

Revolutionize Your Kubernetes Network Observability!

Today’s enterprises operate in a complex environment, using multiple Kubernetes variants such as AWS EKS, Google Cloud GKE, Microsoft Azure AKS, and numerous other private and public cloud orchestration platforms. While this diversity gives teams greater autonomy, it also introduces significant complexity.

Kentik Kube ensures optimal Kubernetes performance by enabling teams to quickly identify services and pods affected by network anomalies or latency issues, allowing for faster and more efficient issue resolution. With configurable alert policies, teams can proactively address high latency across nodes, pods, workloads, or services. All traffic data in Kentik, including K8s traffic analysis from Kentik Kube, is automatically enriched with key business and security metadata, providing valuable context to your telemetry.

Kentik Kube not only examines individual applications but also reveals the bigger picture of how applications and shared services interact and how communication across infrastructure boundaries impacts cost and performance.

Too often, traffic within Kubernetes remains a “black box.” Kentik Kube’s comprehensive network visibility brings clarity where it’s needed most. Learn more in the Solution Brief.

Traffic Analysis and Anti DDoS for Service Providers

Our use case focuses on a regional telecommunications service provider in Northern Germany that offers a complete multimedia package with telephony, high-speed internet, and cable television. The company’s goal was to procure a SaaS solution for the technical analysis of IP traffic through the use of recorded metadata by NetFlow v9 and IPFIX. In addition, the software should have the ability to detect and automatically combat current DDoS attacks by using BGP Blackholing and BGP FlowSpec. Network Observability for Cloud and Internet-Centric Enterprise Backbones

While networks were mostly focused on connecting their own data centers and locations via private infrastructure, today’s enterprise networks must focus more on cloud/hyperscaler and internet connections. This transformation requires new technologies and architectures, as well as operating concepts and services. On the other hand, existing classic network infrastructures must also continue to be supported. So how Can a Modern Enterprise Backbone be Operated Effectively and Stably?
